Invest in new garage door locks
Now, if you get a garage door opener replacement, make sure it comes with an automatic lock. That’s one way to increase home security. If not, you can always add a new (deadbolt) security lock to further protect this entry point. Don’t forget that many break-ins (attempted or not) occur via the garage door. So, this would be a good upgrade.
Upgrade the hardware
Unless your garage door’s hardware looks good, change it. Since hardware defines the door’s decoration, you may want to search for solutions that best match your current home style. This is one way to refresh the garage door’s looks or, perhaps, alter a bit its style, based on the hardware you buy.
Paint the garage door

This upgrade is actually a must, since it has to do with money spent, and even more if you use the garage for various activities other than parking the car alone.
Replace the weather strips
Once again, for energy reasons and some good savings, get new weather seals. Weatherstripping the garage door is one of the best ways to improve the environment indoors and save money. Even if the side and the top strips are alright, check the bottom seal. Due to its position, it wears and tears faster while it should be in perfect shape. So, start there.
